Best Western Americana Inn

It more than met my expectations. we were there only one night. We liked it.

From it outside appearance, the Americana Inn seemed like an okay hotel to stay for (especially for the money I paid. However, when we walked into our first hotel room my friend came out in her underwear screaming because there was a HUGE COCKROACH on the wall near the drapes. We had our expectations that the hotel might not meet our standards but we were thankfully wrong. It was clean (no mold or cigarette smell). It had a refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board, etc. The staff was very friendly and eager to handle any questions or requests we made. The hot tub/pool were nice as well. It was right off the freeway so we didn't get lost & it was convenient to go to other places. Even if you chose not to drive around, there's plenty fast food/restaurants right next door to the hotel. The only thing was that breakfast was VERY basic, no hot foods or anything. However, I can't even complain because that's usually what continental is. My one-night stay was excellent. Location close to the border and close to restaurants and shopping.

Great location. Close to dining, shopping, other services. The rooms were very neat, tidy, and did NOT have that rank hotel smell. The room was quiet as we were there for some rest before we moved on to our next meeting over the U.S. border into Mexico. ...read more

Very nice hotel, good price, friendly staff and great location.

Overall very impressed, nice clean rooms, easy access from I-5 to International Border, my only problem was that I booked 3 non smoking rooms one of the rooms smelled like somebody had smoked for a week. ...read more
